Hand Forged Garden Sickle - Carbon Steel Blade with Leather Sheath

This hand-forged sickle is designed for various tasks like harvesting grain, cutting grass and herbs, clearing growth in tight spaces and any other job where a long blade is needed but a knife isn’t sufficient.

Available in two sizes, the small sickle is ideal for close, controlled cutting work in gardens and among plants. The larger sickle is perfect for clearing larger areas and harvesting heavier growth. Both are forged from the same high-quality steel with a consistent edge. Choose the size that suits your needs or opt for both.

The curved blade follows the natural arc of a pulling cut, allowing for a single motion through the stem without sawing or needing a second pass. At 59 HRC, the steel maintains a keen edge even after extended use in dry grass, green stems and fibrous growth, requiring no resharpening.

Materials: Both blades and handles are hand-forged from 52100 carbon steel, hardened to 59 HRC. This steel maintains a working edge through repeated pulling cuts in dry and green growth without chipping or rolling.

Handle Construction: The handle is forged as a single piece with the blade, eliminating joints, hardware and separate grip material.

Sheath: Each sickle comes with an individual hand-stitched leather sheath, riveted at stress points, providing protection for the blade between uses.
