This small hand-forged sickle is available with an ash handle or a fully forged steel handle — the choice depends on how the tool feels in use, not on which is better.

The ash handle is lighter and warmer in the hand — a natural grip that absorbs vibration during extended cutting sessions. The steel handle is forged as a single piece with the blade: no joints, no separate grip material, one continuous form from tip to end. Both cut identically. Both are built to the same standard.

The curved blade follows the natural arc of a pulling cut — one motion through the stem, no sawing, no second pass.
